Exclamation Rider Down in Bend
Don't know too much about it, but I was in Bend Recreation while riding around on the bike and a guy came in talking about a wreck on Third St. Apparently near Greenwood. Sounds like it was a newer Black CBR600RR or something of the type. My buddy also just drove by it and confirmed they were loading a bike onto a flatbed tow truck. I have no information about the rider but will check to news to find these out.

Around 4:45 p.m., officers and medics rushed to the corner of Northeast Third Street and Revere Avenue on a report of a car-motorcycle crash, said Sgt. Ron Taylor.

The motorcyclist, Richard Samuels, 40, of Bend, was found lying in the middle of the intersection, near his crashed black 2002 Honda CBR motorcycle, Taylor said. He was taken by ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center-Bend, where he was listed in critical condition Tuesday night, according to a nursing supervisor.

Witnesses told police Samuels was heading north on Third Street and entered the intersection against a red light, Taylor said. His cycle collided with a 2005 Pontiac driven by Steven Huddleston, 51, of Bend, which was heading west on Revere and had legally entered the intersection, Taylor said.

Traffic approaching the busy intersection was detoured onto nearby streets for about 20 minutes, so the vehicles could be removed, Taylor said.
