Near Bend is Christmas Valley Sand Dunes, I hear they are fun and huge but not in the middle of summer, way too hot! Spring and fall are good times for a trip there. |

Big dunes, lots of cool places to camp, but Lake County Sheriffs Office and BLM Officers are thick in the summer. If you want more info or have more questions PM me....Good luck |

| Newbie Joined: Aug 2008 From: Madras, Oregon I Ride: 2000 Kawasaki ZRX1100 | Xmas valley dunes... I have only been to Christmas Valley sand dunes 2 or 3 hundred times in my life I would ride there over any other dunes that I have been to. (never been to Anthony)...Do not go on a holiday weekend....otherwise you will have the place to yourself most of the time. No services for 30 miles so bring everything you need with you. The sand dunes are just like any other place...the floor of the dunes can be hard packed in places. I would suggest paddle tires if you have them. |
