Firstgear Mesh-Tex 3.0 Jacket, all the protection, 90% of the air flow, comfortable in the 80's, at 95° it starts to fail....but then anything would at that temp

There's not much you can do in full gear, especially in stop/go traffic except roast. Drink lots of water before gearing up and get ready to sweat.

I'm sure the Goldwing guys have suits that circulate blended ice Margaritas to cool ya down. Look for it...there's a straw next to the mic on their helmets.

60 minutes is about right before you have to "re-wet", which you can do with a large baggie using bottled water or from any hose or basin that will keep it wet for about 2 min. Squeeze out the excess (or don't) and you're golden for another hour or so.

Use a synthetic fabric shirt that will wick moisture from your skin and either fully vented leathers or mesh to make it work best. At speed, 90+ temps are nothing with this setup...until you hit 120...but at that point you might want to think about taking a few hour break and letting it cool off a bit.

That seems like a lot of weight for a scooter to handle.

Hmmm... Maybe look the threads for this exact same topic from last year?

That's always a good starting place.

I always keep two water bottles;

One for my stomach, and one to pour down my neck.

Today I rode to Clarkston and back to Pasco. The ride back home was in the mid afternoon and the temperature got up to 104F. I had a water vest on under my textile jacket, not mesh but vented. I actually felt fine, better than I thought I would. When I got home, Julie didn't think the aroma was so good, but the cooling system seemed to work very well.

It wasn't stop and go traffic and having the wind flow through the jacket is really important. Slow speed riding at these temperatures would suck.

Well, thats Good news!
I have a cool vest, but Im going to let my passenger use it.
The water down the front and back is also a Good idea!
Im going to be using a Camel Back with a small backpack built in.
Inside it Im going to carry, a spritzer for her, 3 cool ties, and a couple of bannana's.
Electrolites for Both of us as well.
She is going to carry her own Camel Back, too.
The ride tomorrow is 176 miles round trip, in the heat of the day.
The ride Sunday will be cool on the way to Wenatchee, then HOT the return.
Thanks for all the positive input and suggestions.

This is for the Patriot Guard ride, right? Awsome- it's really nice to see somebody giving way past the point of being uncomfortable to show support for our troops. My hats off to you Jimmy- I only wish I didn't have to work and could make the trip with you. Rep for you dude.
