CWU Central Riders Motorcycle club
The first official meeting of the CWU motorcycle club is scheduled for april 30th on wednesday at 5:00 pm in SUB REC room 137a. Everybody is welcome to come. It is going to be really laid back since it is the first meeting. Maybe get an idea of what type of rides and events people would like to see. Tell everyone who is interested in motorcycles to come. See ya there.

ya, the purpose of the club is to get a group of people together that want to ride and have a good base of knowledge about motorcycles, riding techniques, and whatever else comes up.

Hey Travis, I posted this up on the CWU intranet as an announcement for you. Might spark some more interest. I plan on being there.

Thanks for posting it on there. I didn't even think about posting there. I don't think I got to meet you tonight but maybe sometime in the future. Austin Danielek started facebook group called "CWU Central Riders". Feel free to join that. This goes for anybody interested in the club. The whole point is to get people together and get a phone and email list going so that people can have somebody to ride with when they feel like it. The other good thing about the club actually being recognized by the school is that it allows the club members to get free money to do what ever they want with. My intention for the club is not to have a bunch of rules, but connect riders with other riders and get people out enjoying their motorcycles instead of just riding to class. There will be emphasis on riding within your ability and safety. At the meeting tonight we talked about group rides making it up to the north cascades highway and maybe a ride to spiral highway and south to hell's canyon as well as other shorter day rides. Tonight we voted in a senator. I am really excited about the club and the possibilities. If anybody is interested who was not able to attend tonight send me an email.

Tried to send an email, however, it says you don't want them.

I went on a ride with Austin before the meeting and he wasn't sure about non students being involved with the club. Being a University affiliated group are non students allowed?

Sorry I couldnt make it tonight. I had work to do on the track bike. Anyway, I think it would be cool to go the races over at Pacific or Portland. Maybe we could start a race team...if anyone else would race around here....or just sponsor me I think 'field trips' like that would be cool though

As far as being an actual member of the club I am not sure about but I will be sure to look into it. To be honest though, it really doesn't matter that much. I would be happy to have you ride with us. I understand you have quite a bit of experience which is always a good thing to have around. Look forward to meeting and riding with you.

Race team huh? Do you have your license yet? I am definitely up for going to some track days but I don't know about starting a race team. lol. How was the ride today? Had a lot of studying to do today but really wanted to go. Looked pretty windy though.

No Travis, we didn't meet tonight, i couldn't make it at the last minute. This whole graduating soon thing gets kind of busy unexpectedly sometimes. Sometime soon though, i'm itching for a good ride....

lolz. with the amount of money you could get from Central I wouldn't say it were even NEAR bearable compared to normal...If you count the money I haven't gotten back from A2Zen($3400) Ive spent over 10k on track stuff this year already...

ya, meetings are going to be first and third wednesdays of the month at campus utotem at 7pm. I wanted to give plenty of time for the ride that duane plans and also give people who have late classes a chance to come. Plus, its a better meeting spot where you can actually see the bikes and eat and all that. It would have been nice if more people would have been able to come to the first meeting but we couldn't advertise on campus since we we weren't actually a club yet. Hopefully, we can get more people together and some people to go to the track. I also think that as a group there is a better chance of getting people to ride safer and be less squidly. I plan on going on the rides on wednesdays and then to the meetings.
