Flush mount turn signal help
Installed the flush mounts this weekend.

Power on, switch on right signal it blinks fine.

Switch to left, nothing.

Switch back to right solid light and then out.

Now neither side works. Fuses check out good and wiring is correct, it was just a quick swap using the quick disconnects at the wire ends.

Any ideas on what else I can check? 2006 GS500F.

if the flush mounts are LED's you need to do a search on here and look up resistor issues. most likely you will need to get some resistors or a solid state flasher because the draw on the LED's isn't enough for the stock flasher.

Thanks, not LEDs though. Just generic, plain old bulbs. Right side was working fine for a minute until I switched to the left.

Also, the indicator light on the guages went out at the same time. When the right side was working, it blinked. Now it's dead also. So maybe there is a fuse I did not find, or I broke the circuit somehow? I also have not tried to re-connect the stock and try them to see if the work.

Found and fixed problem. When I installed the right side I tightened it down too much and pinched the wires between the fairing and the light plate which cut into the wires and shorted out the relay. Replaced the relay and used heat shrink on the wires. All good and working now.
