I didn't win a free Suzuki...but I got a hat
Took a little trip to Adventure Motorsports in Monroe today to participate in a drawing for a free Suzuki, value up to $8,500. Music, free burgers and dogs, lots of door prizes...but I didn't win the free bike. I did get a free hat and t-shirt.

Route: went up Highway 3 through Allyn/Belfair/Bremerton to reach the Kingston ferry. Then up I-5 to Hwy 2 to Monroe. Found some fresh asphalt patches on Hwy 3 that were hiding in the morning shade on some corners for that little extra pucker factor

Coming back, took 203 through Duvall/Carnation/Fall City/Snoqualmie/North Bend, then Hwy 18 to Auburn, hop onto I-5 and slab it back home.

It was hot on the return trip, and I ended up pouring a couple of bottles of water down my neck to stay cool.

To the fellow in camo shorts, white t-shirt, and sandals on a blue R1 (?), southbound on I-5, just north of Cabelas near Oly, at 4:30 pm: thanks for pulling in front of me and then laying prone on your bike at 65 mph with your arms and legs outstretched like Superman. Let me know in a few years how that works for you

You were the guy who got the pink tee? I was standing nearby when you looked into the paper bag...thought it was a joke.

Pretty interesting day. I've never been to a win-a-free-bike event before.
