my sunday rides may be coming to an end......
my Sunday rides may be coming to an end, we were just told they are laying off 17 people, and our shifts are to be re-scheduled, I will probably end up with graveyard, with wed, Thursday off (at least I will have a job though.....)!!! who the hell goes out for a Thursday ride, I will have to be a loner once again......

when is the next SUNDAY bike night? or BBQ?

a couple of the other things that take up all of my time;

well done!
its getting rare that anybody knows they are pretty much the same motor, the banshee didn't get the powervalves, the trannies were geared different, and rz's shift forks had roller bearings. I'm sure there is more, but thats all I remember. I always wanted an rz, but they are too small for me, I see that you are in camas, can you ride on sundays?

Greetings all, another one from Vantucky here.

I have ridden sporadically over the years, mostly dirtbikes and ATVs. I got the streetbike bug after I rode my cousin's Shadow last year. I don't have a bike of my own yet, but was passively looking for one when by coincidence I heard about a friend selling an EX500. So, if everything checks out mechanically, I should have it in the next week or two. I plan to ride the cr*p out of it for a year or two and then see if I want something else.

Anyway, real glad I found this forum as it is good to have a resource with local knowledge. I'll probably be asking a lot of Newbie questions, so thanks in advance as I hope to learn a lot. See you on the road.

new to area - thank god i've found you!
Ahhhhhh. my motorcyclin' peeps. How I've missed you.

I'll be riding again this month after a knee-surgery sabbatical (there are two types of karate people, those who are injured and those who have yet to be injured).

It's nice to know there are other bikers out here, I don't see many on the road. Is everyone hiding from the rain?

I'm thinking of selling my SUV and riding year-round. Am i nuts, considering the wet weather?

Wet weather's not crazy. But, ice is. I commute every day the roads are runnable.

Howdy.

I'm not hiding from rain, no. COLD and rain, yes.

I wouldn't say you're crazy, but I started the fall with the same intention and only lasted until about mid-October. As much as the climate, I got tired of all the gear I had to layer on and cart around with me.

Welcome to all the newcomers! Looking forward to riding with you soon.

rain...
Hello to all.

I agree, cold is ok, wet is ok, but put them together, add that I work 12 hour shifts, at night, no thanks, I'll drive. And, its only a 20 min commute form Vancouver, so 10 min to put gear on, ride 20 min, then 10 to take it all off again. BUT, good weather is a different story altogether. I used to ride any time, all the time, commute into downtown pdx, in Jan, while living out in Corbett Ore, but I'm getting old, soft, and lazy now....

Welcome, GsxrRida. Good time to join our group. The season is just kicking in. There is a ride developing this Saturday that might be right for you. And, when the time changes, we have after-work evening rides during the week, some on the westside and some on the eastside.

I signed up on the site several months ago, and finally got me a bike. I picked up an 83 V45 Magna. It is my first bike and I am still learning how to ride it. When I feel a bit more comfortable on it, I will join some of you for a ride.

Hey everyone, just introducing myself. I recently got rid of my 2006 Subaru STi with 310AWHP and bought a house and a bike. I have a 2001 R6 Champions Edition with a few mods. I just started riding on the street after taking the team oregon class but have been riding ATV's and Dirt Bikes for a while. I just joined to get tips for riding and to possibly find riding partners when i get better.

Hey everyone new to the forum. I have been checking it out for a while now and decided to at least get a login. I ride a 96 CB750. I have read some of the past posts and I have to say I was surprised that for the most part everyone has a great attitude about being safe on the roads.

I will get a photo soon.
