When Mach .11 crashed, I decided to join up so I could post a photo of him. I've known about this forum for quite a while, I just never got around to joining it. I think it was Flailer who first told me about this forum a couple of years ago. Silver788 and Mach have also been bugging me lately to join up. Even DucatiDuane, who I meet during PIR's grand reopen earlier this year, recommend to me that I join up as we were talking in the pits about our off track excursions in corner 4. Anyhoo, glad to be here.   At PIR during grand reopening track day. Corner 4  VFR an touring duty last summer. Beartooth Pass.  My new CBR600RR. Bought from salvage yard and rebuilt. |

I have my permit and trying to get into IRT class but I did schedule driving test in case I don’t get into a class. I have some experience with motorcycles but it’s off road or 4wheel. It's a Triumph Bonneville. I'm having a good time, but have been sick the last week or so. Looking forward to getting healthy and back out there. Hoping to feel comfortable enough to ride out to Pacific City along Hwy. 18 and 22. Have done the route many times on a bicycle, but would love to do it on the motorcycle. |

I live in the Portland/Vancouver area and I’m usually available on the weekends and some weeknights after 5pm. With regards to street I’m up for long or short, rain or shine (as if we have a choice in the matter ha ha). I ride a Ninja 250 as I’m heinously short (as in 4’11”). It’s been a great beginner bike and I’m attempting to get some serious seat time in prior to upgrading to a full size set of wheels. | Newbie Joined: Jun 2008 From: PDX I Ride: 04 600rr | As the fair weather riding season begins to wind down here in PDX, it's about time I make my formal introduction on PNW. Long time listener, first time caller to the forum.. haha.. well, just about. Did the BRT late last year with my wife and we got our endorsements in time to get a few rides in on a 91 katana before the October rains hit. In April this year I picked up a 04 600rr which I've been feeling out and then got my wife a 08 250r, both in red. Done more commuting than anything else, which is a shame for this bike, but have made a handful of fun rides when time allows (and there is never enough). Have yet to do a group ride.. 4 bikes total has been my max and 100+ miles in a ride still feels like a lot to me, so I still consider myself a noob. Had a friend go down in jeans this year and he tore up his knee pretty good, so my wife & I are both ATGATT.. I'm the power ranger in head-to-toe red, white, and black leathers. Safe rides to all and I look forward to crossing paths with each of you. -Andrew |
