Standing Eastside Ride Every Wednesday All Riders Welcome

Its been mentioned time and time again, but nothing has ever been made final. So I am going to do my best to get the ball rolling.

Meet Location: Action Motorsports in Farview right off of Halsey.

Meet Time: 6:00 Rolling by 6:30 if your going to be a few minutes late shoot me a text my number is in my profile. I don't mind waiting a couple extra minutes.

Pace: This ride is going to be run at a slow/moderate pace. This ride is going to be a chance for everyone (New riders and experienced vets) to enjoy some of the great roads the eastside has to offer. If your looking to tear up the street then by all means join us but you will be passing me and riding by yourself in no time. There are plenty of rides on this board that allow a faster pace. This one is going to be intended to get everyone out riding. This should be a great chance for the more experienced riders to watch and help newer riders with their skills as well as work on their own.

Route: The route will change often to add diversity to the ride. If there is a route the group would really like to run that week then we will run it. I have no problem leading or running sweep if someone else knows the route or designs it.

Before every ride we will have a pre-ride meeting. If your new to the boards or riding speak up and if you have any questions or concerns they will be addressed by either me or someone else. I will cover basic safety in group rides to those who have not been part of one yet.

The ride time will depend on the decided route and feel free to split off if you need to get back sooner than the intended time. We will stop at every stop sign and wait for the sweep to signal we have everyone. So if you are going to split do it at a stop sign and make sure whoever is leading knows you are parting from the group.

After the ride we can go our seperate ways or get food ect.....

I know I am probably missing something but that is the general idea, all details can be worked out during the rider meeting.

I will be at Action Motorsports this wednesday 7/16/08 to kick this off. Hope to see you all there.

Sweet! I work just up the hill at Burnside and 223rd, and normally get off at 5on Wednesdays. As long as I don't have some hot date or have to rush home, I'll be able to join in on the fun.

Wednesday seems to be the same time Fun4i started the West side ride. Any chance we can move this one to Thursday, like Lee did last year? I don't want to choose sides or anything like that and could make both rides this way.

. I have a hard time with Wednesdays... it's the only evening each week that my wife and I regularly have to spend together. Tuesdays or Thursdays would be perfect.

Assuming I don't get stuck at work too late tomorrow and traffic doesn't kill me on the way across the river, I'll be there.

I hope you guys had fun. I'm extremely disappointed that I was unable to make it due to getting stuck at work until 6pm. The one goddamn day I have to work overtime just has to be the day I have plans.

Darren, my apologies for not being able to get you those boots tonight. I'll do my best to try to bring them over to your place tomorrow evening.

I'll definitely try for an east side ride next week. I'm becoming more accustomed to the roads over there. A nice change from my usual stuff over here on the west side.

Good ride guys, though kinda short. I've never been on some of those roads and they were great. Sorry I was hanging back, my bike was pinging badly. Either I got bad gas (regular when asked for super) or maybe I have a air pocket in my coolant. Dunno. Fun ride though.

I finally got my insurance back but I only have my permit so if there is anyone who would be willing to meet at washington square or somewhere around my area to ride to the meet-up I would appreciate it, otherwise no worries, I might be able to get my buddy to come. Good little ride tonight. Nice meeting some new faces. Sorry if I was a little slow. Been off the bike for about a week and had just woke up. Dunno about the "little hike", but the veiw was worth it.
