Anyhoo, I need to install a new front sprocket on my 1994 CBR600F2. I don't want to fark everything up, as I'm not the most mechanically inclined person in the world. So I would be ever so grateful if someone would kindly trade their time (maybe a torque wrench too) to help me change it. I'll give you a 6-pack of your favorite beer, and be your wrench monkey.I have: - basic tools (socket set, etc.) - Nice garage with light - Rearstand. - Clymer's manual for my bike. - 6-pack beer of your choosing (Or, if you like cheap beer, it can be a larger pack. The 6-pack is of a premium micro like a Widmer Bros. or something.) You have: - Mechanical knowledge - Thirst for beer - Desire to help a n00b |

Well...what would get someone to help? I don't exactly have deep pockets. Failing that, how about some shop recommendations for this type of thing and what it would cost (oh, my wife is going to kill me. This was only supposed to cost $25.) |

Take the cover off, you might have to remove whatever is locking the bolt in place, you will see this when you take the cover off, than just remove the nut/bolt. Leave the bike in 6th gear when you do this and step on the rear brake. You might need help with this part. Put some lock tite on that bolt/nut, tighten it well, use whatever locking mechanism is there to secure the nut/bolt again, put the cover back on and you are good to go. Where is my beer now? |
