Smoking deal from craigs list!!!!!!!!
Uh huh!!!!
So I posted a week or so that I got this smoke'n deal on a Michelin Pilot. Fu__'n thing had a small hole to the core. Didn't go through but hey I'm not chancing it. So I head to SDS and they hooked me up with a track tire. $50.00...... Sticky, Sporting and well worth the 50 bucks

I only pissed away $40.00. lesson learned. It won't happen again.

Here I am getting my last nickel out of that Bridgestone.

Gonna do Wilsonville road, Bell rd, Chehalim Mt., Bald Peak, Laurel. Should be around 75miles. Maybe more.

Meet at Wilsonville 76, Sat. Aug. 23 by Denny's 4:30pm Fill'm up and head out.
Hope to see some of you.

If it's a true race compound, then it's not going to be as sticky as you might think on the street. Unless you're riding hard for 5 minutes, with a low tire pressure, you're probably not going to get the carcass up to temp. It's not my goal to be the bearer of bad news... I just wouldn't want to see someone get hurt by over-driving a cold tire.

These were the same tires I bought the bike with in April. I got another front from a racer buddy but didn't want to cough up the dough for the back. Bought a Bridgestone that was nice but a little disappointed in the milage.
(2600 miles) Fossil was tuff on it..
This being my fourth big bike I've been through some tires, mostly Dunlops. These Pirelli's are way softer and stick better than any Dunlop I've ever been on.
Thanks for the concern. I'll get'm warm alright!!!

If those are just the supercorsa and you have it on the front and back you will notice some good grip. Just ride with them a bit and get used to them. I used to roll the street with them and never had problems and there 1 of my favorite after i did track days or race on my race bike i would use these for my street bike also.
It is going to clear up and last i heard maybe hit 100 again Saturday uggg. Enjoy them just get used to them first. Glad SDS helped you out there to.

Take offs are great for the summer, but when it gets cold (think December...) and you go for a quick spin after your bike has been sitting for a few weeks, TAKE IT EASY! Don't ask me how I know. This time of year race compound tires are usually soft, but in the dead of winter, they have the consistency of a "Big Wheel" (or a Green Machine...)tire and will put you on your head in an instant...that is until they get up to temp.

He is dead on.

If I have a decent set of supercorsa take offs, I will mount them and use them up during the summer inbetween new ones and I love them. Great for aggressive street riding.

That's the Maxium Chain Wax I've been using. Don't care for it. Seems to be dry all the time and leaves a rust colored dust on the wheel and tire. I just bought a new can of WD-40 untill I can find a descent can of teflon. Any suggestions?

Maxima Chain Wax
This is what I use, and I'm assuming what you mean....

It works GREAT! just because your chain doesn't look "wet and oiled" doesn't mean its dry. A "wet chain" is not necessarily a lubed chain. You should be able to feel the gummy chain wax more than see it. It doesn't fling off like other chain lubes. As far as the reddish look... hmmmm Be sure you clean your chain w/ kerosene every 1500 miles (or about every 3 lubes)

I just got 20K miles on my original OEM chain using nothing but Maxima chain wax. It is great stuff.

Yup. Swing by Lowe's and pick up a can of Dupont Teflon Multi-use; it's what I use on all of my bikes. Here's a review: http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motor...chain-lube.htm

Oh, and like the above post says, use Kerosene and a toothbrush for cleaning. You'll want a transmission pan under the bike when you clean, since you'll use liberal amounts. A gallon can can be had for under $10.

OK so that rear tire is super soft. No problems warming it up today!!
Only bad thing I can say is it seemed to spin on me twice out of a corner under power, kinda made for a sporting adventure
The Dragon Super Corsa that was on the bike when I bought it didn't do that nor did the Bridgestone I smoked off it. Any one ever had the same issue. Not something I'm too worried about but just thought I'd throw it out there.
And I agree ,Squiddly Van Dickweed is funner than shit to say!!!!!
