Find the post where I laughed out of incredulousness that Rossi would win the championship.

If I recall correctly, I sad if Rossi wins it would prove his greatness. Because now he actually has a challenge.

If I was laughing, it was only in jest to someone's retardedness.

I have a ton a respect for Doohan and have always been a fan, but I do have to agree he was on the best bike and after 94 faced no real competition. So if anyone had the best equipment against the weakest field, it would be Doohan.

I've also heard that about Agostini, but I'm not up on the racing of that era so I really have no opinion one way or another.

and no pete that is not an invitation to pleasure yourself.
Well of course not, it was a big juicy wad of bait on your hook just waiting for me to bite on.

But it's ok because the race results and points this season are telling the story just fine. Stoner is still on the best bike for sure, but not so much so as it was last year. It's now close enough that the best rider can still win, and he has, repeatedly. Laguna being the pinnacle of who's the man and who's the bitch. And the bitch rides a red bike.

You have got to be kidding Richard? 8 point lead, last race of the year. He pretty much had to only finish in the top 10 to win the title and what did he do? Crashed.

It's well known at this point that his crashed was caused by his front tire slipping on a tear off. Like you said, he only had to finish in the top 10 to win, and he knew that. He wasn't even pushing hard nor did he need to. Clearly it was a freak accident, as anyone who truly thinks there is even one iota of choker in Valentino Rossi is obviously mistaking him for Sete Gibernau.

When the CSI (Crash Scene Investigators) did their investigation, they actually recovered the tear off in question. Forensics matched the rubber on the tear off to that of Rossi's tires. It should also be noted that the tear off had the initials "DP" and the number "26" on it. As of this time, no charges have been filed as there was insufficient evidence to prove that the tear off was meant specifically for Rossi.

well, Stoner got all teary eyed with Rossi in the press conference today over his post race Laguna comments. Rossi was comforting him and before you know it they were making out in front of the press at which point Stoner's wife and three other persons of unknown gender stormed out.

FINE!!!!! That's not what happened. Stoner did say he probably over reacted. (reports of him lending his wife to Rossi for the evening are just rumors....FINE! No one said that either). There is an interesting interview with Schwantz at www.superbikeplanet.com where he comments on the Laguna Stoner/Rossi race.

Stoner was first on the poll and Rossi was second. Stoner got a great start and was leading Rossi by a second. Rossi was pushing but was not on his ass or anything.( in Rossis interview he said I pushed a little because he was expecting the attack) About half way through Stoner went into it a little to far and crashed into the gravel pit. Got his bike up and running but not for long he didn't finish the race. Rossi was in front of everyone else by about 17 seconds. Thats about it in a nut shell......MrsD

I wonder if Jason is going to want some humble pie for desert when he eats all that crow at the end of the season when Il Dottore is victorious once again.

Stoner is done! He should ask Dani if he can have his number for next season! with Lorenzo and Ped still hurt I think it's safe to say ValE is the 2008 MotoGP Champion. How great would it be for Valentino to beat Casey in Australia? wait for it....
