Not such a bad guy actually-

I california stopped the light at market and lancaster just like the rx-8 in front of me when I got lit by the red and blue on a bmw motorcycle. He reported my license plate and stuff, and then approached my bike from the right side and started complimenting my bike. "Oh nice bike! what year is that?" blah blah blah I almost pissed myself laughing. He then leisurely asked for my license, insurance, etc, and while he was plugging it in we started talking about bikes and how his police bike handled He then let me go and apologized for not pulling over the mazda in front of me, just that he was "sick of people bitching about bikes. oh you didn't stop here or signal this"

I've heard quite different stories about the motorcycle cop in west salem, but this guy was pretty cool. He did describe himself as a "motorcycle guy." I do believe that bike owners share a much greater sense of community than car drivers.

If he was so big he made the Salem Police BMW motorcycle look like a 50cc scooter then that was Officer Morris. Great guy - good cop.

I like cops like that. Yesterday I followed a Gresham cop down 205 to I5 he was in jeans musta been going to work. He was on a Harley looked like it may have been one of them DARE kinda things. Anyway he was tooling along about 75mph left of center in the fast lane I tucked in right of center fast lane and enjoyed the free speed.
