Simpson Outlaw Bandit - anyone?
I've run a search and all the threads with this same question are old and lacking in information. So, anybody worn one? Know of someone? What was your experience? (I know Ripp'n has/had one)

Looking at it, the lack of top vents is a little concerning. Other than that its bad looking mofo.

comments on commuting and track experience would be great. Google doesn't bringup any reviews.

Thanks in advance.

Get an Arai XD in flat black and take the bill off and you pretty much have a Bandit.

EDIT: I couldnt find a pic with the bill off but here's one with it on.. you get the idea.

I've had a couple of bandits. They are automotive racing helmets. Bandits are a basic head protection helmet (they work, and I know). No vents other than the slots in front for some fresh air. They are hot and don't have any anti fog capabilities other than a marginal ratchet system on the visor. The liner and/or cheek pieces can't be removed and you need tools to change the visor. Thickest visor I've seen to keep rocks, etc. from getting through. For what they are designed for, they are good at. The Snell rating is for an automotive application. They aren't particularly good motorcycle helmets. Most riders will note that the eyehole is too narrow, so peripheral vision is impaired; and that you can't look down as well. The Simpson Fury is a motorcycle helmet I was looking at, but couldn't find one to see in person. So, I wound up with an Arai.

saread said it... hot, tight, vision lacking, spendy/lid/visor... if you don't race cars or aren't into SCREAMING "fook off" at a glance... look elsewhere for a nice user friendly lid. Don't get me WRONG... there great (got 2)... just takes a certain loyalty and dedication!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Extra pts, for dreadlocks or a Preditor paintjob.

I've got the XD sans visor... so you can't get one, ya fuck.

Might I suggest the same treatment to a Shoei Hornet, though?
