7/28 - NESBA S.E.D {Intermediate Only}
Hey boys and girls!

In case any of you are on the fence about this one, you better decide soon. Space is filling fast and will likely sell out before the end of the week.

Here's a quick overview of the S.E.D

“ Quote:
Skills Enhancement DaysNESBA wants its members to grow and advance their riding skills—not just advance through the NESBA ranks, but to be better overall riders. This has been NESBA’s overall mission from day one, and continues to be today. However, we have found is that most riders buy a bike, ride it on the street for a while, and then come to the track without ever having the basic building blocks needed to advance their skills. Most riders go faster because they gain the confidence in themselves to take a particular turn faster than the time before without ever having a basic understanding what the bike is doing or what they should be doing. This is the reason for NESBA’s new program, “Skills Enhancement Days” (SED).

NESBA wants its riders to be able to get “bumped” to the next level because they have the riding skills required to do so, not because they are “fast enough.” This is really what SEDs are designed for—to give members the most amount of track time for the lowest cost, with the maximum amount of knowledge transfer from some of NESBA’s best regional instructors.

The basic program structure and how the day will flow are really quite simple. The days are scheduled as a class-specific day. A SED “I” day means that only “I”-level riders may sign up for that day and there will be a limited amount of riders per day.

• 7-7:40 a.m. Tech Registration
• 7:50 a.m. Riders’ Meeting
• 8:05 a.m. Track Walk
• 8:45- 9 a.m. 1st 15 min. “Get Loose” Session
• 9-9:15 a.m. 2nd 15 min. “Get Loose” Session
• 9:30 -9:45 Open Track begins
• Noon Lunch
• 12:20 p.m. Riding Position Seminar starts
• 12:50 p.m. Riders’ Meeting
• 1 p.m. Open Session starts and Suspension Clinic is open
• 5 -6 p.m. Day ends (depends on track policy)

Throughout the day, all Control Riders will be available for feedback and dedicated instruction on the track. Members will have the ability to spend most of the day with a CR of their choice.

The “Get Loose” sessions are just that, a chance for get riders warmed up for a very long day of riding. These sessions will be instructor-lead sessions. CRs will limit the speed and require no passing during these sessions. This will give riders a chance to take notice some of the things that were covered during the track walk and check their bikes for needed adjustments.

The “Riding Position Seminar” will go over the why, what, where and how of riding position. This is a key building block for going faster so it may take some time to adjust position and take some attention away from actual riding until it becomes natural. But, riders will have about seven hours of riding to get it right.

The “Suspension Clinic” will consist of a basic explanation of how suspension works. NESBA will also help set base settings.

NESBA feels Skills Enhancement Days will help members gain the skills needed to advance their riding skills, but may adjust the program as it evolves and may even add more SED dates to the schedule based on demand. Pricing will be set at the lowest possible price, however if a rider “minimum” is not met and NESBA loses money, SED may be discontinued. So if you try SED and like it, tell your friends or have suggestions for improvements, please let us know!

Yes, Barry will be there doing suspension and Rick will be there doing tires.

Waiting to find out when we have the track till that day, methinks it will likely be 4pm. :(
