Best Pizza in Seattle?
I've been craving some fresh, wood-oven pizza for some reason. Going to explore downtown Seattle this weekend and was wondering if anyone knew any good pizza places?

Everyone will probably fawn over Pagliacci's (meh), and/or Northlake Tavern...

So far the best I've had is from Belltown Pizza.

Tutta Bella also makes a mean pizza.

Depends on what style pizza you're after...

Pagliacci's or Jet City are my fav's.

New York Pizza Place (if it's still there) was delicious too.

Best pizza in Seattle by about 3,000 miles.

I have only been to the Westlake location, but I hear the Columbia City location is better.

I'd recommend asking for prosciutto crudo and arugula with a bit of shaved parmesan cheese if that's how you roll. That is certainly a standard pie in my new neck of the woods.

Try those other places first, then go to Via Tribunali last. Otherwise you won't enjoy any other pie in the city.

Via Tribunali is by far one of the best pizza's I've ever eaten in my life. Those times I don't want to head back into Seattle I will hit "The Rock" in Lynnwood or Mill Creek

Fresh, thin crisp crust, lots of pepperoni and grease! Not really a big fan of fancy gourmet pizzas with all the weird ingredients on them.

I'll be in Seattle this weekend visiting my sister. While all of these places don't mean a thing to me, I'm looking for some great pizza too. I'll have to ask her, and stop by one of these places.

I like a couple of off-the-main track places.

A New York Pizza Place in Maple Leaf (5th Avenue NE around 83rd or so) does a decent job. It was a little better before the original owner (Todd Peltz) moved to Blaine (or it might have just been his personality), but it's still a decent pizza and the new owner has done a good job of bringing the quality back up after a little stumble right after the transition.

I get a lot of crap from some people for this one, but I've always found the pizza at the Italian Spaghetti House on Lake City Way to be about the closest in the area to what I grew up with in NY. Good, thin crispy crust, all done up in a brick oven. Sauce is OK. Definitely a change from the thick, greasy Greek-style that's more often found around here. The rest of the food is OK - standard 1950's style 'Italian' fare, and the place looks like it hasn't been redecorated since they opened 50 years ago.

(I've been told that the pizza at Buco di Beppo next to Ducati Seattle is also pretty good, but we always wind up getting a lot of other stuff when we go there. The ones we've seen going part our table always LOOK good, though!)

I live in Greenwood (walking distance Romio's and the WingDome), and work over at Sand Point. I first went to A NY Pizza Place when he was downtown. I finally stopped at the Spaghetti House one day a few years ago after passing it forever. I kicked myself for missing out for so long!

Damn, now I'm getting a need to head out for pizza in the next couple of days!

I can't believe no one has mentioned veracci pizza. They are hard to find as they literally have a massive traveling woodfire stove but you can find them at the phinny ridge farmers market on fri/sat and on sundays at the ballard street fair.

If you've never had their pizza you've probably never had the best pizza in seattle...and I have been to every place listed so far and veracci STILL blew me away.

Eh... I'm partial to Chicago-style stuffed pizza... Delfino's in University Village is worth the trip.

Well... only because it's too expensive to ship Giordano's or Little Villa from Chi-town...

tutta bella is like lean cuisine to me...just how many pizzas do i have to order to get full. we ate at wild ginger and stopped by tutta bella to get desert...nutella ice cream with espresso. i wasn't quite full so i ordered pizzas. i can finish 1 and 1/2 tutta bella pizza...on my own. no, i am not a obese (5' 10" 135")

the ballroom (located in fremont) has awesome pizzas (for thin crust lover). wonderful, fresh, alternative toppings served in 28" (that's right..a
