Ad kind of doesn't make sense. I got a substantial amount of coolant in my oil (yes, this is not exactly the same situation) while removing coolant drain plug assembly (it runs through oil pan on 02-03 R1). Rinsed it out with kerosene, then refilled with oil. No problems right up until bike got stolen including track days and many stand-up wheelies. If the bike was not ran and especially if a load was not applied eg. put in gear, there should not have been a problem.

The ad should just specify a blown motor and call it a day.

Maybe I have a lack of knowledge in this area. But I would think if you immediately drained it out, refilled it (with oil this time), ran it for a few minutes, and then repeat the process. That would get most if not all the antifreeze out without really causing any damage to the engine.

I just so happen to know the owner of this bike and think its pretty disrespectful for FELLOW riders to dis/joke (its more of a dis then a joke) with miss haps that happen to others bikes or riding ability.

In all fairness, we have all been guilty of talking some sort of shit about someone else every now and again. It's an unfortunate side effect of living in a small town.

When mistakes are made, there will always be someone there to point them out and laugh at you. I've been the brunt of it, I've done it, and so have the rest of you.

While I don't necessarily agree with bringing it up on the internet, once again I think the thread origionator was doing it in good fun, not malicious interest.

Please remember, at the same time, that while you might be understandibly angry that someone is poking fun at a friend of yours, you have just been guilty of the same issue. In fact, making an angry blanket statement about all girls that ride offends more people than a pointed statement about one persons mistake.

I would not be surprized if this is one of those scams. Like the one that kept coming back over and over on craigslist about a R1 Annv addition, yellow and black for 3500. Yeh he is getting rid of it because he has too many toys? Yeh when did getting rid of a 18000 bike for 3500 mean getting rid of. That is Scam all day.

Clearly more than he is saying. If the bike wasn't run with it in there, and immediately drained back out, it wouldn't have ruined the bearings, no way.

If it sat in there long enough, or was run, that could be a different story.
Either way, that bike's not worth $4500, I made an offer, we'll see if he takes it!
