Stolen bike - Tacoma

    2001 Honda CBR. Colors are Yellow and Black. One corner of the windshield is broken or chipped off. The mileage is between 35,000 to 40,000. The fender is yellow and has a black sticker that looks kind of like a muscle man. License plate number is 978968. The VIN is JH2SC44011M104578.
    This motorcycle was stolen from the parking garage of the Commencement Terrace Apartments 29 St. Helens Ave Tacoma, WA sometime between December 24th and December 27th, 2009. A police report was filed on December 27th, 2009.
    If found or seen, please call (253)370-7798, (206)799-9968, or the Tacoma Police department (253)798-4721. Whoever is out there riding this is currently riding a stolen motorcycle.

    We would appreciate it if all of you who reads this can spread on the words and help me find this bike. It took us a long time to save up enough money for it. The thieves had cut off the lock with what may be a power tool. If you were in the area around the time and saw anything suspicious please let me know. Thank you!

    fuck that.....stay away from any parking garage



    at the rate of some of these stolen bike threads we have been getting lately.....seems to me over 90% of the stolen bikes we see here on pnw are coming from parking garages

    i dont think i feel safe parking in one now just to visit someone for a couple hours
    its sad that what should be something pretty safe is getting taken advantage of like this
    i personally didnt see this big of a flaw in "secured" parking garages in condo's and apartments until all these threads starting popping up recently


    i'll keep an eye out as well....but some pics would be nice

    Not to be a snot (although be what you're good at) but without pics, who would look, and for what???? Another cookie cutter bike with a chip on the windscreen?

    I think that it's mostly inside jobs. I think someone else living in the complex has something to do with the bikes getting stolen. Sucks cuz we want that bike back. All of us in this position would love to get the bike back!

    good luck finding your bike i hope you find it and the perp gets locked up i have a cbr myself i ould kill someone if they stole it

    i guess we are gonna have to plant some decoy bikes and watch them thru the scope on a sniper rifle and make an example of the next would-be thief.

    really sorry to hear this, but it has nothing to do with Tacoma !

    I know exactly where you had it taken from because my wife works in that area, I will keep my eyes open for you.
