I started this project three months ago, but I'm just now getting it posted. I have a 2007 Triumph Daytona 675. This originally started as pre-season maintenance, but soon I decided I wanted to make some larger changes. Goals for the project: -powder-coat the rear sets, tail frame, rims, tank, and engine covers -paint the plastics -520 chain sprocket conversion -integrated tail light -competition werkes exhaust -integrated turn signal mirrors -driven block-off plates -coolant hoses -brake pads -air filter -wheel bearings -oil & oil filter -coolant and brake fluid flush -pro-bolt engine covers and body bolt kits -spark plugs -tuneecu tune Everything has been completed with the exception of painting the plastics. I will post picture from the build shortly. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I will elaborate further on the things I learned and challenges I faced during this project. Thanks for reading
This weekend I started it for the first time since I put it all back together. It started right up and everything ran great. I took it down to the car wash and cleaned off the engine real good. Here are a few pictures. I am currently prepping the plastics for paint and will be shooting those soon.
Nice work. Will the fairings be black again, or is that just the primer? (Don't forget the little cushions between the tank and the frame ) If you're interested in some flushmounts for the front, I think I might still have a set.
Thanks. The fairings will be painted the same pearl as the tank and rims. That is actually the original paint wet sanded down in preparation for the new paint. I will have to buy the tank cushions. They weren't there when I took the bike apart. I might be interested. Which flush mounts do you have? I was planning on getting some watsons or shaving them off completely.
That looks pretty awesome. Nice job. On a somewhat unrelated subject...your garage makes me feel a lot better about my current mess.
Any time you need a pick me up, just swing by and have a look at my shop. WWIII, WWIV, and WWV happened there I swear.

The ones I have are Protons. I'll have to look for them down in the garage, but they're searchable with the bike info.
