Rules state "your bike" it doesn't say motorcycle, I think you get bonus points for your bicycle. The wind and the risk is the same, I don't think anyone here would object, so go for it!!!:mfclap:
Ahhh, Tangent. My office is out near Creekside. Not so far to go, but on the other hand getting through Corvallis was the longest part of my trip (got behind some grandma on 53rd and couldn't pass). But as for posting, I live in NORTH Albany, so I just cut through Adair and came home the back way.
Saturday's challenge - when you get back from your ride. ... This one should be pretty easy. Sorry, the picture isn't that hot. I forgot about the ditch in front of the statue and the road shoulder is pretty narrow. Extra points if you can remember what advertising icon the "teen" kid is part of ...
Great place to have breakfast. She has $4.25 special mon-fri I'll keep messing with this computer... maybe figure this out
Working on this between things at work. Maybe somebody can give me a clue how to attach picture... I was out at this place for breakfast. Got picture ... just not smart enough to figure out how to get picture posted. Thanks
[/IMG] Hope this worked. If you guy's go here to try the breakfast special... the pancakes are larger than the plate.
I guess I better tell where the last picture was.. Shirley May's Restaurant, a few miles east on Hwy 20 close to Cottonwoods. You guy's have all picked great places... now to go figure what to post up.
The pictures are from my cell phone... so forgive the quality. This is going to be easy.. Wish I had more time today....out of time ..... heading for coast in hour or so. Thank You to the person who thought up this game. Have Fun
Very good, Cruizer ... here's the rest of the family (Papa, Mama, and Baby): The Teen Burger was A&W's best seller, back in the day. Your basic bacon-cheeseburger...
I know where this one in too...but I don't have my bike for a week, I let my brother borrow it:banghead:
The photo I posted was of a private collection (notably missing the Teen ... seems suspicious...). The Burger Family was phased out in the early 70's (except, apparently, in Canada) and was replaced by the rather lame "Great Root Bear" as the mascot. You can find pictures of a number of the Burger Family in private collections. I hear the complete set is still on display up in Hillsboro at a former A&W that is now an auto dealer.
It sure would be nice to see Shirley's repainted all original except for A&W label on rootbeer. Have any of you ever stopped and tried to eat the 2 huge hotcake's, 2 egg's, 2 sausage..$4.25 week day special at Shirley May's? The pancakes droop over the edge of the plate. Also, another great place for breakfast is at the Otis Cafe near Lincoln City. Good bike ride area too I kind if figured somebody would have got my picture figured out and posted before I got back.
I know where it is, but job keeps getting in my way. I'll go get it after work if Jeff doesn't beat me too it.
