I feel sorry for Florida...

  1. Current max sustained winds are 105mph and expected to grow significantly when it dumps into the gulf. Current gulf water temps are 88 degrees

  2. Goes with the territory.. there are new home construction methods which will easily withstand the worst hurricane. Blondie and I are thinking about building a winter home down there in the future, using the shotcrete/concrete filled forms system. It can be constructed and finished in any style.

Florida has a lot to offer in the non hurricane season, which happens to be the very time that it rains like mad here in WA State, and is a good time to fly south.

Believe it or not.....I do have a soft side to me.....the people that I worry about are the elderly, especially those with no other family. I cannot imagine my grandmother living down there with none of us around (she has lived with my family since I was born to help take care of me  ). Anyway, that was softer side.....
