  1. A friendly bit of information...

Just returned from responding to a motorcycle/auto accident that put the guy in the hospital, thought I would give everyone the info. Male with one year riding experience on a 500cc streetbike, traveling in his own lane, with right of way, going through intersection with green light. Auto pulled out in front of him causing him to either avoid by going into another occupied lane or scuttling the bike. Rider laid bike down but struck the car at 20-25mph. As found, rider was wearing helmet, leather (not bike specific) jacket, leather driving gloves, workout pants and slip on shoes. Where he was protected by leather and helmet, he was without injury. He did sustain deep abrasions through his pants which will take a bit of time to heal. Luckily, he did not strike the car with his feet as they were not protected well. He will be in the hospital for a period of time as well due to a possibly severe lung injury which they were researching when I left the hospital.

Just wanted to keep everyone aware, EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY, CAGERS WILL STILL GET YOU!! Ride safe in town, not to mention ride OFFENSIVELY, dont be defensive and wait for things to happen to you...

    Take care!
