  1. I figured some of you might know a good read to get through the winter months, anytime really.

I'm currently reading 101 road tales by Clement Salvadori.

    I've read Leanings 1,2, and maybe 3, can't remember.

    Long Way Round and Down.

    One Man Caravan.

    Shop Craft as Soul Craft.

I wanted to read that one on Kindle, but don't have one, by the guy from Motorcylist, Jack Lewis.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

  2. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance - Robert Pirsig

    Investment Biker - Jim Rodgers

Twist of the Wrist - Keith Code

Old school reads from an old school guy.....

  3. Unfortunately, there was no LEANINGS 3, though I sure wish there was. It was supposed to be published, but it never was.

LEANINGS 1 and 2 and the Salvadori collection are my favorites, but a few others that bear mentioning:

THE RIDE SO FAR, Lance Oliver
    STAYIN' SAFE, Grodsky
    REBUILDING THE INDIAN, Fred Haefele
THE VINCENT IN THE BARN, Cotter
    RIDING WITH RILKE, Bishop

  4. I did read Zen, forgot about that one, must have been a while ago.

I have investment biker, but it didn't suck me in.

Also forgot about Canyon Racer's Guide to Advanced Motorcycle Technique.

  5. This was a good read, even if you just have to shake your head every now and then. "Endless horizon : a very messy motorcycle journey around the world", by Dan Walsh.

And then there's Lois Pryce's two good travel stories. "Lois on the loose", and "Red Tape and White Knuckles".

  6. Proficient Motorcycling, David Hough
    Total Control, Lee Parks

  7. I just ordered Riding with Rilke for .75 cents on Amazon. Thanks RC65. I wonder if that guy who rode an R1 around world has a book.
