National Forest Service Road 23

Discussion in 'Ride Reports' started by Daboo, Aug 8, 2019.

  1. Has anyone ridden this road recently? I'm thinking of taking it from Randle to the Columbia Gorge area.

A good stretch is gravel. While not opposed to riding on gravel with a street bike, I don't want to get into something where I need a GS.

  2. The best way I can check out whether roads are paved or not is to look at them on Google Earth or Google Maps, and look for the striping.

  3. Im working off the summit of the 23 rd, at baby shoe pass. Yhat road is extremely rough right now. Its doable but be very careful. The better road is the 25 road. I ride it from canby oregon to our job site at elk pass. Great ride from cougar to Randal. I'll be there next week, trying the 99 road to windy ridge and any other roads i can find
