This is interesting. I wonder what it can do for older bikes and their frames.

They tried that in snowboarding. It supposedly worked really well but left the board feeling a bit dead just as described above.

  3. They are estimating the cost of that gizmo to be "equal to that of a track day"...
  4. Is it going to be mounted next to the flux capacitor?

Interesting, did not know that. I wonder how much different it would be for a bike? A lot stronger forces at play here.

Nah, right next to that thing you don't use often enought...*cough* throttle *cough*
  7. Coincidentally, also right next to the other thing I use too much... brake!

So you don't use throttle... or brake...

    So you're on a bicycle?
  9. I'd probably be safer on a bicycle... faster too.

Here's the abstract for the big research paper conducted on the 1998 K2 Electra which used Piezo Electro Dampening (vibration to light):

The board was only made for one year. Not sure why it didn't catch on or anything. The research paper costs money so I didn't check out what it's about.

    Was a sweet board, too.

Until it broke, at least. :angry7:
